About Tagagawa
A place where skilled trades build a reputation that gets them hired.
What Tagagawa is
Tagagawa is a marketplace for skilled blue-collar work in the Philippines: electricians, welders, plumbers, drivers, machine operators and dozens of other trades. Workers keep a profile of their skills, training and work history. Employers search by trade, location and availability, and post jobs. We host the profiles and job posts, rank matches, and carry the messages and records that go with them.
What Tagagawa is not
We are not an employer, a recruitment agency, or a party to any work you agree. Any engagement is between the worker and the employer directly. We do not set wages, supervise work, or guarantee that either side will do what they promised.
We do not currently verify identities, licences, permits or the right to work. A profile on Tagagawa is what its owner typed in, plus whatever ratings and reviews other members have given it. Treat it as a starting point, not proof, and satisfy yourself about anyone you deal with before money or keys change hands.
How ratings work
A worker asks someone who has worked with them, a former employer, supervisor, foreman or trainer, for a rating. That person answers a structured questionnaire across nine dimensions:
- Skill
- Reliability
- Communication
- Integrity
- Attendance
- Professionalism
- Safety awareness
- Teamwork
- Leadership
Ratings are written by other people, not by us, and the worker cannot edit them. Once approved, they are visible on the worker's profile. Employers can also leave ratings and written reviews after an engagement.
No fees, ever
Tagagawa is free to use. We do not handle payments, and we never ask for a fee to be paid to a worker, an employer, or to us, in order to get a job or hire someone. If anyone asks you for money to get work through Tagagawa, do not pay, and use the Report link on their profile or job post.
